Clinical Guidelines

Clinical Guidelines

The Clinical Guidelines are systematically developed statements intended to help physicians and patients decide on appropriate healthcare given specific circumstances or clinical conditions. These statements are created by an array of organizations to describe proper healthcare based on scientific evidence and wide consensus of the medical community, and reduce inappropriate variations in medical practice, among others.

MCS, with the best interest to assist providers and promote their insured’s proper healthcare, developed an ongoing process of adoption and revision of clinical guidelines.

We urge you to review and use this important material to help in the early detection of patient conditions, as well as for evaluations and clinical management. Should you have any questions regarding this matter you may contact our Provider Service Call Center at 787-620-2535 (metro area) or toll free at 1-800-981-4766. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
